Book recommendation… Breath

There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing take it in. Let it out repeat 25,000 times a day yet as a species humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly with grave consequences.

In breath journalist, James Nestor travels the world to discover the hidden science behind ancient breeding practices, discovering that if we make even slight adjustments to the way, we inhale and exhale, we can

Jumpstart, athletic performance

Rejuvenate, internal organs

Halt, snoring, allergies, asthma, and autoimmune disease.

Straighten scoliotic spine

None of this should be possible, and yet it is drawing on thousands of years of ancient, wisdom and cutting edge studies in pulmonology psychology, biochemistry and human physiology breath turns the conventional wisdom of what we thought we know about our most basic biological function on its head.

It has been described as

'A wonderful book that reminds and enlightens us about how breasts and mind are intertwined.'

'You will never be the same again. Our breath is a beautiful healing, mysterious gift, and so is this book.'

I'm enjoying this book immensely in between learning new routines and the new CIRCL class is also based around breathing, so I thought this would fit in quite well although I think we did our first class yesterday with so much concentration that we all actually forgot to breathe for 30 minutes!

If you are going to read one thing this summer, then I definitely recommend this
